A Holly Jolly and Jazzy Christmas III

11/21/24

Join the La Crosse Jazz Orchestra for their 3rd Holly Jolly (Jazzy!) Christmas Concert on Friday, Dec.6 and Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Cappella Performing Arts Center, 721 King St., La Crosse.

LJO director Greg Balfany says the band "is really ready to brighten the season with two nights featuring the most beautiful and uplifting Christmas jazz arrangements anywhere.”

The concert will again feature great Yuletide arrangements including their exquisite version of “The Nutcracker Suite.”  The whole band will sparkle on Hollywood writer Gordon Goodwin’s versions of “The Little Drummer Boy” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”
Twin Cities jazz diva Debbie O’Keefe, returns for a third season with her special treatments of “Let It Snow,” “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree,” and more. Debbie combines with pianist Laura Cavianni to present their intimate version of “The Best Gift.”

LJO vocalist Tim Henke will swing out with Michael Bublé’s version of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.” Band member Scott Jensen has penned an original holiday song, “It’s Christmas Time,” also featuring Henke. He and Debbie will bring Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga to the stage singing “Winter Wonderland.”

Both concerts starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available online or in person at the Cappella Center.
